I am a VZW customer who has been waiting for the iPhone 5 but my Droid original is about to die. I'm getting the white Iphone the minute it comes out with news of the latest IPhone 5 delay and because everyone has black. I can't wait anymore and will just sell the 4 on ebay for $400+ and buy the 5 outright (3GS still go for 300+ on ebay used). Plus I will lock into unlimited data for future LTE :)

Again, when Apple says "delayed" I'll accept it as delayed. Until they do, they said "ships this summer", I'll stick to believing it "ships this summer". You can try to rationalize it not shipping this summer all you want, the official word still is it's coming this summer.

The "view" buttons in finder changed back to the old style.
Thank god, I wasn't fond of the new style. I found it kinda confusing and out of place.

That is the ugliest thing I have ever seen. Obviously, this won't be the next iPhone, because Apple would never come out with something that ugly.

Why? I loved my iPhone 4 (before I lost it) but my 3GS is far easier to hold.
I still prefer the iPhone4 design aesthetically, but the reason is the awesomeness of the exterior metallic antenna look, rather than the rectangular block shape. Although, a teardrop design would mean the loss of the external antenna, which would be disappointing from an aesthetic point of view, but something I could live with.
By "teardrop," I am referring to the tapered look from top to bottom when viewed from a side-profile. I like the rounded edges of the original iPhone and slight hump on the back of the 3G because those are symmetrical (they are also nicer to hold than the iPhone 4).

Based on the verdict of the markets it would seem that Apple's potential is not so great...but you know better than that right ;)
When stocks are being discussed from now on, please remove yourself from the proceedings.
It was mostly the decline in iPod growth rate, but as someone said here, the market is just becoming saturated. You can thank Apple's insistence on using non user-replaceable batteries and such for sustaining some product momentum at least. You'll always have a good 10% (or so) of the market or so that replaces things ONLY when what they have ceases to work. This is where what I noted above begins to actually positively impact sales figures.
I'm just getting this weird feeling that the baseline will be about 100. I expect a mild resurgence in the next couple weeks, nowhere near 200 or anything, but at least a 10% jump. Then I look for it to tumble down, where I will hopefully pick up some more at around 100. Of course, no one should take my complete speculation as actual advice, this is just the gut feeling I'm getting from the stock right now.

OK, here's mine for today. This was taken with iPhone using the Hipstamatic app. It was taken on the cliffs just north of Bude, in Cornwall, this past weekend. Some on this board may consider this "gimmicky", especially with the "aged" look of the framing, but I think this one worked pretty well. I would appreciate any c&c on this.

I LOVE the new design. And this is also why I love Apple. They don't listen to all of the whiners who hate change like some companies do. They let their designer and engineers do what they do best. If Apple listened to all of the complainers here over the years, we'd have Windows, on a Dell PC, with a Palm Treo in a holster on our belt.
Personally I like the iPad iCal design better than in OSX and I'm looking forward to this in Lion.

Yep, a touch sensitive home button is the way to go. Will act as the unlock button too. It was about time we got rid of that nasty plastic which breaks very easily.

Really good to see the update (finally)... but I am disappointed they didn't bring the 24" back :(
The 27" is too big, and the resolution on the 21.5 is laughable for an upgrade of this magnitude.
Still, quad core across the range is nice.
The biggest thing with the 27 is the yellow hue. Fonts. Glossy. And I like to change out my display and own the latest and greatest quite often, say every two years, or every year due to work at home.
Solution for me was I got a HP brightview 25.5. It is a MVA panel not quite as good viewing angles as the imac 27 IPS but with better black levels, deeper black levels, whiter whites, no yellow hue to speak of. Much better for graphical design work. Brightview technology has me hooked. All the benefits of a glossy and some of the benefits of a matte, less glare than the imac 27.
I have my 21.5 as a extra display and use the 25.5 as my main display in dual mode. Fantastic setup.

Wake me when iMacs have matte screens again.
I'm surprised a third-party vendor hasn't started producing matte screens for the iMac. The glass is simple to remove on the iMac.

There are many reasons for this. The crowd of Apple lovers wanted more from Macworld than what they got, and the market has been terrible lately. Their second quarter revenue predictions were very conservative, and some people think they have shone the brightest they will ever, and just don't think their worth it. I disagree, but as much as I would like to be, I'm not the stock market.
